Oelig, Grace (Jan 1909)

Frank L. Norris and Miss Grace Oelig were united in marriage at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Oelig, Tuesday evening at eight o’clock, in the presence of the bride’s parents, Miss Vera Ferneau, the bride’s niece, and James Norris, brother of the groom.

Rev. S. E. Sweet of the Baptist Church performed the ceremony.

Both the contracting parties are well and favorably known by the people of Greenwood and vicinity.

The bride, a young lady of estimable character, has lived in the city nearly all of her life. She received her education in the Greenwood schools, being a member of the class of 1899, but did not finish with the rest of the class, owing to sickness in the latter part of the school year.

The groom is a man of clean character and sterling integrity. He has been employed in the Greenwood State Bank for the past two and one-half years as assistant cashier.

The newly wedded pair will go to housekeeping at once in the William Miller house on Miller Street.

The Gleaner joins their many friends in wishing them a happy and prosperous wedded life.
