Kostick, Annette M. (27 January 1943 – 23 December 2020)

Annette M. Kostick, 77, of Thorp, passed away on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at her home.

Annette Marie Piwoni was born on January 27, 1943 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire.

She was raised and educated in the Lublin area, and graduated from Gilman High School in 1962. Annette was united in marriage to Doman Kostick, Jr. on July 20, 1963, at St. Mary’s Polish National Catholic Church in Lublin. She farmed with her husband until her retirement. In late November of 2012, Annette moved to Thorp where she resided at Morgan Plaza, moved to Stanley and resided at Sunset Homes for a short time, then moved back to Morgan Plaza.

Annette was a member of the Lublin Homemakers Club and was a former 4-H Project Leader of the Country Clan 4-H Club. She had many interests, but especially enjoyed crafting, sewing, cooking and baking.

She is survived by two children: Faye (Ken) Ryszkiewicz of New Lisbon, and Wayne (Marcia) Kostick of Lublin; three grandchildren: Monica Gean, Clayton Kostick, and Jacob Kostick; one great-grandson: Kyle Gean; her mother: Lucille Szemraj of Owen; one sister: Susan (David) Ertl of Medford; 2 brothers: Joseph (Judy) Szemraj, Jr. of Lublin and Charles "Chuckie" Szemraj of Thorp; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Annette was preceded in death by her step-father: Joseph Szemraj, Sr.; her husband, Doman Kostick, Jr.; and one brother: James Szemraj.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at Thorp Funeral Home, with Pastor Michael Larrabee officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home, on Saturday, from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
