Marriage vows were repeated by Lynn Ann Geary and Roger W. Maki on Saturday, Oct. 12, 1963, in a 2 p.m. ceremony before the Rev. R.L. Tellock at St. Paul's Lutheran Church at Curtiss.

Music for the ceremony at the church, which was decorated with gold, bronze and white mums, was provided by Dennis Laabs, accompanied by Robert Benson, who sang "The Lord's Prayer" and "Song of Ruth." An aunt of the groom, Mrs. George Maki of Madison, played the wedding march.

The young couple's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Willard Geary of Curtiss (Clark Co., Wis.) and Mr. and Mrs. William Maki of Owen.

For her wedding, the bride chose a floor length gown of silk organza over taffeta with an embroidered jeweled trim motif on a scoop neckline and the front panel of the dress. The full back was accented with a large bow. A headpiece of several handmade delustered roses surrounded by imported Italian orange blossoms, secured the French illusion fingertip veil. She carried a cascade bouquet of red roses and white stephanotis with ivy on white streamers.

The bridal attendants were Miss Sue Geary, a sister of the bride, and Patricia Laabs, a classmate. They wore brocaded street length dresses of peacock blue with sweetheart necklines and elbow length sleeves. Controlled skirt fronts and loose panels with small bow trimming, completed bustle backs and large bows completed the description. Short bouffant veils attached to circlet small flowers formed the headpieces. Their flowers were cascade arrangements of white mums surrounding titnted blue mums, and small white pomps on streamers.

David Maki, a brother of the groom, was the best man, and LaVerne Shilts of Marshfield was the groomsman. Ushers were bill Geary of Markesan and Ronald Kings of Wis. Rapids.

Two sisters of the groom, Marilyn and Kathryn Maki, were junior bridesmaids.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the home of the bride's parents from 3 until 5 in the afternoon, followed by a dinner served at the parish hall, with about 200 guests attending. A dance in the evening at the Curtiss Village Hall completed the day's festivities.

The bride is a 1963 graduate of the Dor-Abby High School, and the groom, who is engaged in farming near Owen, is a 1961 graduate of the Owen-Withee High School.

A delayed wedding trip to the western states is planned in November.

Out of town guests came from St. Cloud, Minneapolis and Northfield, Minn., Ocheydan and Reinbeck, Ia., and La Crosse, Stevens Point, Medford, Dorchester, Coon Valley, Stanley, Markesan, Tomah, Abbotsford, Madison, Marshfield, Eau Claire, Barron, Owen, Ashland, Wis. Rapids and Curtiss.
