Hillert, Fred #2 (23 MAY 1886 – 01 MAY 1963)

Funeral services were held Saturday at 2 p.m. for Fred Hillert, 76, at the Georgas Funeral Home who died Wednesday at the Sunset Nursing Home at Fairchild.  The Rev. E.T. Keller, Pittsville conducted the service and burial was made in the Zion Lutheran cemetery.  “What Friend We Have In Jesus” and “nearer My God to Thee” was sung by Elsie Garbisch, Gail Montgomery and Ellen Garbisch, accompanied by their teacher, Miss Ruth Garbisch.

Pallbearers were Theodore Hillert, Carl Worchel, Ed Frei, Otto Sternitzky, Norbert Noeldner and Irvin Sternitzky.

Mr. Hillert is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Irving (Freida) Vine; two sons, Walter, Chili and Harold, Westboro; two sisters, Mrs. Fred (Martha) Sternitzky, Mrs. Edward (Elizabeth)Sternitzky  and three brothers, Edward, Greenwood, Richard, Granton and Arthur, Chili and six grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his wife, one daughter, three sisters and two brothers.
