Dankemyer, William M. (20 APR 1941 - 30 JAN 2013)

William M. "Billy" Dankemyer, Jr., 71, of Chili, died on Wednesday evening, January 30, 2013 at Ministry St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.

Memorial services will be held at a later date with his cremains buried at Yolo Cemetery in Chili.

Rembs Funeral Home in Marshfield is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Billy was born on April 20, 1941 to William and Mildred (Smith) Dankemyer in Shirland, IL. He moved up here with his parents and was baptized and confirmed in The Lutheran Faith Church.

He graduated from Granton High School in 1959. He was united in marriage to Delores J. Kohel on June 1, 1963 in Granton.

He farmed his whole life in the town of Fremont, Clark County, first with his dad and then with his son Tom.

He enjoyed bowling, softball, pulling rope, snowmobiling, fishing and hunting. He was a former member of the Lions Club and was a board of directors member of Chili Coop and DFA. He enjoyed helping his friends and neighbors with various projects and morning coffee with friends and buddies.

He is survived by his wife Delores, son Tom (finacee, Michelle Jensen) Dankemyer of Chili, two sisters LaVada (Del) Langreck of Loyal and Wilma Todd of Sullivan, WI. He is further survived by a sister-in-law Carol (David) Hillert of Granton and a brother-in-law Charles (Carol) Kohel of Edgar; father-in-law Alton (friend Evie) Schmidtke of Neillsville; nieces and nephews Paula (Duane) Brey of Loyal, Renee (Dennis) Hinrichsen of Abbotsford, Tracy Todd of Arlington, VA, and Kim (Mike) Farnsworth of Sullivan.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a nephew Gary Luchterhand of Loyal, two brothers-in-law Gerald Luchterhand of Loyal and Ted Todd of Sullivan.
