Sherwood (6 June1968)

Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Freedlund entertained guests recently in honor of the birthday of their daughter, Becky. Those present were: Mr. and Mrs. Dean Dickson and family and Mr. and Mrs. Harris Dickson of Pittsville; Mr. and Mrs. Dale Freedlund and family of Rockford; Mr. and Mrs. James Freedlund and family of Vesper; Mr. and Mrs. Norman Freedlund and family and Miss Jean Freedlund.

Mr. and Mrs. George Fluegel of Rockford, Ill., visited last week at the John Fluegel and Joe Jacobson homes. They were Sunday dinner guests at the Jacobson home.

Mr. and Mrs. Norman Freedlund and Lowell, Mr. and Mrs. Dale Freedlund of Rockford and Mr. and Mrs. Mahlon Freedlund of Milwaukee are spending the week in Canada fishing.

Chaplain Capt. Jack and Mrs. Smedaker and family of Pierre, S. D., were weekend guests at the Francis Jacobson home. Capt. Smedaker went on to Chanute A. B., Ill., and Mrs. Smedaker extended her visit with her parents.

Mr. and Mrs. Arlo Fluegel and family spent Sunday at Holcombe fishing.

Harry Jacobson accompanied Mr. and Mrs. George Fluegel to Rockford for a visit.

Mrs. Teckla Carlson of Rockford spent the weekend at the Chester Freedlund home.

The Community Church is having Bible School this week. Miss Janice Thomas of Loyal is one of the teachers. She is staying at the Francis Jacobson home.

Mr. and Mrs. Neal Coulthard spent the weekend in southern Wisconsin visiting relatives.

Mr. and Mrs. Fred Heath and Alda and Alice visited at the Harold Hendricks home in Lawrence, Ind., last week. While there they accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Hendricks and daughter, Cindy and Mrs. and Mrs. Lyle Strand of Fort Knox, Ky., to the Indianapolis 500 races.

Mr. and Mrs. Joe Urban, Jr., and family visited at the Milden Schwanebeck home Sunday.

St. Paul’s Lutheran Church is having Bible School at this time. Mrs. Edna Schwanebeck is superintendent. The teachers are: Mrs. Betty Fluegel, Mrs. Ruth Todd, Mrs. Gene Huth, Mrs. Clayton Knapp, Mayla Stacey and Patsy Schwanebeck. Wanda Freedlund, Joane and Sharon Huth are helpers.

Mr. and Mrs. Ted Schwanebeck and daughter, Lori, and Renne Foster of Rockford, Ill., were weekend guests at the Paul and Milden Schwanebeck homes.

Mr. and Mrs. Carl Karioske and daughter, Brenda, called at the Milden Schwanebeck home Friday evening.

Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Lindhorst and family of Cedarburg were weekend guests at the Ivan and Charles Schwanebeck home.

Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Schwanebeck are visiting their daughters in the Milwaukee area.

Mr. Wayne accompanied the FFA boys on a fishing trip to Canada.

Mrs. Betty Ann Dinler and daughter of Fremont visited last week with her mother, Mrs. Rose Florence.

Sherwood Birthday club will meet next week Thursday at the home of Mrs. George Florence.
