Herrmann, Cheryl Anne (February 14, 1947 - August 11, 2008)

 

Cheryl Anne Herrmann, 61, Wittenberg, died Monday, Aug. 11 at Hospice House in Wausau under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services.

 

A memorial mass was held Saturday, Aug. 16 at St. Therese Catholic Church in Rothschild, with Father Janusz Kowalski officiating. Inurnment was at Lakeview Cemetery in Rib Lake.

 

The former Cheryl Bokath was born February 14, 1947 in Marshfield to Verl and Lela (Huber) Bokath, formerly of Rib Lake.

 

She attended Rib Lake schools, graduating in 1965. After graduation she moved to Milwaukee.

 

On August 25, 1995 in Milwaukee, she married Bruce Herrmann, who survives. They moved to Elderon in 2002, then to Wittenberg in 2008. She was employed at WPS Insurance in the customer service department.

 

In addition to her husband, survivors include her mother, Lela Bokath of Marshfield; three stepchildren, Sandy (Dell) Gutknecht of Wauwatosa, Holly (Ken) Traub of West Bend and Scott (Michelle) Herrmann of Tomahawk; two brothers, Chuck Bokath of Rogers, Alaska, and Scott (Melissa) Bokath of Stanley; a sister, Cindy (Kent) Mueller of Marshfield; 10 step-grandchildren, Dave (Laura) Gutknecht, Joseph Martin, Jennifer Herrmann, Andrew, Ryan, Christopher and Kari Gutknecht, Jeremy and Nickolas Herrmann and Mykena Traub; one step-great-grandchild, Jose Martin; and nieces and nephews.

 

She was preceded in death by her father, and one brother in infancy.

 

Schmidt-Schulta Funeral Home of Wittenberg assisted the family with arrangements.
