Streckert, Lillian M. (May 24, 1918 - November 20, 2008)

 

Lillian M. Streckert, age 90, of Abbotsford, died Thursday, Nov. 20 at the Golden LivingCenter-Continental Manor, Abbotsford.


Services were held Monday, Nov. 24 at Christ Lutheran Church in Abbotsford. Rev. Dr. Paul C. Hunsicker officiated. Burial was at Abbotsford Public Cemetery. Pallbearers were Mark Streckert, Tyler Streckert, Benjamin Streckert, Norman Kommer, Dennis Westphal and Alan Deiler.


Lillian was born May 24, 1918 in Chelsea to Otto and Mollie (Steiner) Lange.

 

She married Ernest Streckert, from whom she was later divorced.

 

Mrs. Streckert was the owner of Streckert Manufacturing, Inc. Lillian was one of the founders of Abbotsford State Bank, now AbbyBank, and was a member of its board of directors. Her work and her family were her life.


Lillian is survived by her three sons, Thomas (Sondra) Streckert of Colby, Jerrold Streckert of Reading, Mass., and David Streckert of Abbotsford; three grandchildren, Mark (Cindy) Streckert of Unity, Cristina Streckert of Minneapolis, Minn. and Elizabeth Streckert of Mountain View, Calif.; five great-grandchildren, Tyler, Benjamin, Jonathan, Katherine and Lily Streckert; and nieces and nephews.


Mrs. Streckert was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers and two sisters.


Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
