Scheibe, Verna C. (August 17, 1915 - October 12, 2009)
 
Verna C. Scheibe, 94, Abbotsford, died Monday, Oct. 12 at Colonial House in Colby.
 
Funeral services will be held Friday, Oct. 16 at 1:30 p.m. at Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford, with intern Pastor Julie Gorenson of First Presbyterian Church in Abbotsford officiating. Burial of ashes will take place at Abbotsford Public Cemetery.


Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 12 p.m. until the time of the service.
 
The former Verna Schultz was born August 17, 1915 in Auburndale to the late Albert and Mary (Severt) Schultz.
 
On June 20, 1932 in Minnesota, she married Arthur Schiebe, who preceded her in death. They later made their home in Abbotsford.
 
She was a lifelong member of the Presbyterian Church in Abbotsford, and a member of the Royal Neighbors. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family.

 
Survivors include two children, Donald (Dorothy) of Stetsonville and Mary (Jerry) Adams of Appleton; eight grandchildren, Diane, Judy, Dennis, Daniel, Fraser, Grant, Colon and John; 15 great-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.
 
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son Robert; a grandson; a great-grandson; two sisters, Helen Auberson and Myrtle Smith; and three brothers, Elmer, Harold and Earl.
