Bednarek, Frank E. (September 4, 1945 - May 29, 2009)

Frank E. Bednarek, 63, Grafton, died Friday, May 29 due to injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 2 at St. Peter's United Church of Christ in Saukville. Burial was at North Prairie Cemetery.

Frank Bednarek was born September 4, 1945 in Marshfield to the late Edmund and Lorina (Carlson) Bednarek. He grew up on the family farm in Stetsonville and attended Dor-Abby High School.

He moved to Milwaukee in 1965 to work for Continental Can, retiring after 25 years. He then worked at Ball Container Corp. in Milwaukee, retiring in June 2008. On March 30, 2000 in Las Vegas, Nev., he married Dawn (Klix) Kells, who survives.

He was a member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ, West Bend H.O.G. Chapter and a lifetime member of the Saukville Gun Club. He enjoyed trapshooting and riding his motorcycle. In addition to his wife, survivors include a stepson, Matt Kells of Mukwonago; a stepdaughter, Angie Klug of Port Washington; two sisters, Ann (Charles) Murphy of Georgia and Karen (Paul) Chauvin of Virginia; two sisters-in-law, Norene Schraufnagel of New Berlin and Sally Lilly of Whitewater; three grandchildren, Mick and Maddy Mae Kells and Xander Klug; and other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Sandy.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in his honor may be made to St. Peter's United Church of Christ or the Saukville Gun Club.
