Hahney, Cecelia (7 May 1883 – 26 Apr. 1961)

MEDFORD – Funeral services for Mrs. George Hahney, 78, Rib Lake, will be held at the Rib Lake Methodist Church at 2 p.m. Saturday. The Rev. Gordon Welch will officiate and burial will be made at the Unity Methodist cemetery. Friends may call at the Taylor Funeral Home until Saturday morning. The body then will repose at the church until time of services.

Mrs. Hahney was born at Spencer on May 7, 1883. Her marriage to George Hahney took place on Oct. 12, 1907, and nine years later the couple moved to Rib Lake. She was a member of the Methodist W.S.C.S. and the Royal Neighbors.

She is survived by her husband; three daughters, Mrs. Herman Barrington, Chicago; Mrs. H. J. Wood, and Mrs. Robert Walter, who live in California, and a son, Everet Hahney, Paris, France; eight grandchildren and a brother, Ed Erickson, Unity.

*** Note: Her date of death is from the Wisconsin Death Index, 1959-1997 and her first name is from the Brighton Cemetery Index, Unity, Marathon County, Wisconsin.
