Greiner, Edwarda (11 Feb. 1903 – 3 Feb. 1985)

STETSONVILLE – Mrs. Arthur J. (Edwarda) Greiner, 81, Stetsonville, died at 12:30 p.m. Sunday at Divine Savior Nursing Home, Portage, where she resided the past nine months.

Services were at 11 a.m. today at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Stetsonville. Monsignor Alphonse Kress officiated. Burial was in Stetsonville Catholic Cemetery.

The former Edwarda Phillips was born Feb. 11, 1903 in Medford, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Edward (Helen Roberts) Phillips. She received her education in Medford area schools and graduated from Taylor County Normal School. She also attended Eau Claire Normal School. Prior to her marriage she taught in Medford and Stetsonville schools.

On June 29, 1926 in Stetsonville she was married to Arthur J. Greiner. He died Nov. 13, 1967. After her marriage she lived in Stetsonville. A member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, she is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Edward (Rosemary) Sabijak of Milwaukee; three sons, John of Stetsonville, James of Medford and Paul of Portage; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She also was predeceased by a brother and a sister.
