Dolores B. Junek, 80, Medford, died Wednesday, April 7. Funeral services for Monday, April 12 are pending with Hemer Funeral Service of Medford.

Dolores B. Junek, 80, Medford, died Wednesday, April 7 at Memorial Health Center, where she had been a patient the past nine days, surrounded by her family.

 

Funeral services were held Monday, April 12 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Medford, with Father Gerard Willger and Deacon Joseph Stefancin officiating. Burial was at Medford Evergreen Cemetery II. Pallbearers were her grandchildren, Shannon, Travis, Dustin and Kevin Makovsky, Theresa, Kathryn and Patricia Junek and Ryan Semrow.


The former Dolores Nencka was born April 23, 1929 in Milwaukee to the late John and Anita (Ligocka) Nencka. She was a graduate of South Division High School in Milwaukee. After her education, she worked for a telephone company in Milwaukee.


On October 29, 1949 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Milwaukee, she married Raymond "Ray" S. Junek, who preceded her in death on February 4, 2007. She was a housewife and mother.


She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. She enjoyed reading, short trips to the casino, shopping, playing cards and collecting butterfly memorabilia.


Survivors include three children, Kathleen Semrow and Cheryl (Rick) Makovsky, both of Medford, and Greg of New Berlin; eight grandchildren, Shannon, Travis (Cora), Dustin and Kevin Makovsky, Theresa, Kathryn and Patricia Junek and Ryan Semrow; and six great-grandchildren.


In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Rita and Bernie Molenda.


In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials in her name to be made to Holy Rosary Catholic Church or School.
