Wimmer, Germaine M. (18 Nov. 1935 – 18 Oct. 1987)

MEDFORD – Germaine M. Wimmer, 51, died Sunday morning at the Memorial Nursing Home of Taylor County, Medford, where she has resided the past seven years.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Medford. The Rev. James Blastic will officiate and burial will be made in the Medford Catholic Cemetery. Nephews will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. today at the Hemer Funeral Home, Medford. A rosary service will be at 7:30 p.m. today.

She was born Nov. 18, 1935, at the town of Little Black to Thomas and Louise Boehlen. She was educated at the town of Little Black school and Medford Senior High School.

She was married to Theodore G. Wimmer Nov. 28, 1953, at Medford. She was a homemaker and a mother.

She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, the Bible Study Club of Holy Rosary, Taylor County Homemaker’s Extension, and Brookside Mother’s Club.

Surviving are her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Larry (Debra) Ausman of Eau Claire; seven sons, Michael of Milwaukee, James and Bernard, both of Campbellsport, Rodney of Abbotsford, Joseph of Sheboygan, Peter of the U.S. Navy, Charleston, S.C., and George of Eau Claire; three sisters, Mrs. Eugene (Orvilla) Makovec of Stratford, Mrs. Wyllis (Florina) Jochimsen of Medford, and Mrs. Robert (Frances) Reissman of Wausau; and 15 grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a brother, John in 1969.
