Mravik, Joseph "Turbo Joe" A. (June 28, 1954 - November 1, 2010)

Joseph "Turbo Joe" A. Mravik, 56, Medford, died Monday, Nov. 1 at Memorial Health Center in Medford, where he had been taken earlier by ambulance.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Nov. 4 at 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Whittlesey, with Rev. Randal Jeppesen officiating. Pallbearers are Andrew Ernst, Aaron Moss, Gordon Lekies and Donnie Neubauer.


Joseph Mravik was born June 28, 1954 in Chippewa Falls to the late William and Dorothy (Markowski) Mravik. He attended Lublin elementary schools and was a 1973 graduate of Gilman High School. After his education, he farmed in the Lublin area and did trapping.


On August 2, 1975 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Thorp, he married Rita Moss, who survives.

For most of his life he worked in the woods as a logger, and also drove semi tractor/trailer for Mueller Bros. for a period of time.


He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Chelsea and Whittlesey. He enjoyed hunting and his family.


In addition to his wife, survivors include, two sons, Lynn Joe of Chelsea and Ryan (Heather) of Medford; a daughter, Lisa (Bill) Sorensen of Chelsea; a sister, Betty Turner of Kenosha; a brother, Walter of Lublin; and four grandchildren, Tasia Mravik, and Trey, Cole and Kade Williams, all of Medford.


In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one child in infancy, and a sister, Joanne Mravik.
