La Shay, Blossom Marie (1926? - November 28, 2011)

Blossom Marie La Shay, 85, Baraboo, died on Monday, Nov. 28 at St. Clair's Hospital in Baraboo. Funeral services were held on Saturday, Dec. 3 at Covenant United Methodist Church in Fond du Lac.


She lived in Medford and was employed at Memorial Hospital in Medford for 29 years before moving to Baraboo in 2004 to be closer to her daughter, Marge Scott, and her family.


Survivors include five children, Rose (Donnie) Phillips of Green Bay, David (Shirley) of Darboy, Dan (Connie) of Iowa, Marge (Terry) Scott of Baraboo, and Tom (Candy) of Medford; a son-in-law, Cal Steen of Medford; three sisters-in-law, Charmaine La Shay, Gert La Shay and Vi La Shay; a brother-in-law, Andy Portman; 17 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.


She was preceded in death by her husband, David LaShay Sr.; a daughter, Barbara Steen; twin granddaughters, Stephanie and Stacey; three sisters, Carol Reineir, Gloria Jurgensmeier and Lenore Klapper; a brother, Eugene Penman; two sisters-in-law, Catherine Portman and Linda Giebel; five brothers-in-law, Harold (Danny) La Shay, Arthur La Shay, Manley La Shay, George La Shay and Irvin La Shay.
