MARSHFIELD MAN IS BURIED AT SPENCER

Conduct Funeral Services This Afternoon For Thomas Copet, 73

Funeral Services for Thomas Copet, 73 year old Marshfield man, who died at his home Thur. as the result of a stroke, were conducted at 2:30 o'clock this afternoon at the Swarthout funeral home, Spencer.

The Rev. J.A. Olson, Unity, officiated at the rites and interment was made in the Spencer cemetery.

Mr. Copet was born in Minnesota on Dec. 24, 1861, the son of Mike and Barbara Copet. His marriage to Mary Yendia took place on Sept. 22, 1883. In 1890 he came with his family to the town of Unity, Clark county, settling on a farm where he resided 26 years before moving to Marshfield. For the past 19 years he has been a resident of the Marshfield vicinity.

Surviving are his widow and the following children: Mrs. Rueben Wendorf, Chelsea; Frank, Fred, and Edward, all of Riplinger. There are 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

***Transcriber’s note: Further research in Bohemia shows that his birth date is incorrect and should be May 18, 1863.
