Yach, Matthew T. (18 Feb. 1982 - 1 Feb. 2006)

Matthew T. Yach, 23, Wisconsin Rapids, a University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point (UW-SP) student who worked in Plover, died Wed., Feb. 1, 2006, in a traffic accident on County Trunk P in the town of Rudolph in Wood County.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Sat. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Nekoosa, with the Rev. Chester Osowski officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Wisconsin Rapids.

Visitation will be at Ritchay Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids from 4 to 8 p.m. Fri. and at the church from 9:30 a.m. Sat.until the services.

Mr. Yach was born Feb. 18, 1982, in Wisconsin Rapids, a son of Gary and Suzanne (Schwantes) Yach.

He was a student at UW-SP and also worked part-time at Lowe’s in Plover.

Survivors include his parents, Gary and Suzanne Yach, town of Rome, Wood County; one brother, Sean, Appleton; one sister, Laura Yach, La Crosse; his grandparents, William and Doris Schwantes, Port Edwards, and Connie and Jim Pfeiffer, Wisconsin Rapids; and his girlfriend, Jenna Robinson.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Chester Yach.
