Kunze, Lorraine I. (14 Jan. 1926 - 4 Apr. 2009)

Lorraine I. Kunze, 83, of Arpin died Sat. April 4, 2009, at the Palliative Care Unit at Saint Joseph's Hospital.

Mass of Christian burial is tentatively scheduled for 11 a.m. Wed., April 8, 2009, at St. James Catholic Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery in Vesper.

Visitations are tentatively scheduled from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tues. at the Rembs' Funeral Home (300 S. Oak Ave. - Marshfield, WI) in Marshfield and again at 10 a.m. Wed. at the church until time of the services.

ARPIN -- Lorraine I. Kunze, 83, of Arpin died Sat.evening, April 4, 2009, at the Palliative Care Unit at Saint Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.

Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Wed., April 8, 2009, at St. James Catholic Church in Vesper with the Rev. Jude Ndugbu officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery in Vesper.

Visitations will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tues. at the Rembs' Funeral Home (300 S. Oak Ave. - Marshfield, WI) in Marshfield and again on Wed. at the church from 10 a.m. until time of the services. Lorraine was born in Bridgeport, Conn., on Jan. 14, 1926, to Harry and Sarah (Ventulett) Kelly.

She was united in marriage to Carl A. Kunze on March 21, 1947, in Bridgeport, Conn. Carl died Dec. 17, 2008. They farmed in the town of Carson, Portage County, until retiring, then moving to Arpin.

She is survived by her son, Carl R. (Diane) Kunze of Arpin; three grandchildren, Robert (Angie) Kunze of Madison, Rhonda (Brad) Vilbaum of Wisconsin Rapids and Rachelle Kunze of Arpin; three great-grandchildren, Trevor and Tyson Vilbaum and Ellianna Kunze. She is further survived by a brother, Harry (Julia) Mathewson of Woodville, Wash.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother Raymond Mathewson.
