Frances was born Sept. 24, 1907, in Spencer, a daughter of Fredrick and Ida (Griepentrog) Schwantes. She attended school in Spencer. The former Miss Schwantes was united in marriage to Ervin Trierweiler on Nov. 27, 1926, at the parsonage of the Presbyterian Church. Ervin died Sept. 13, 1962.

Mrs. Trierweiler was employed at the Roddis/Weyerhaeuser Plant as a splicer for 30 years. (The above picture was from her security badge during World War II.) After retirement, Franny enjoyed traveling and touring the country. She became a resident of the Marshfield Care Center in 2005.

Fran was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Marshfield, active in Bible Study and Circle and was active in the Marshfield Historical Society as well as a volunteer at the Upham Mansion. She enjoyed traveling up north over the years to spend time at her son's cottage and she especially enjoyed spending time with her children and the four generations of grandchildren. It was the highlight of her day when they came to visit.

Mrs. Trierweiler is lovingly survived by her daughters, Elaine Fleisner, Marshfield, Ellen Huber, Marshfield, Joan Heiting, Wausau, and daughter-in-law Pat Trierweiler, Marshfield. Sisters Marion Seidl, Marshfield, and Nora Hansen, Brillion; along with 24 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, eight great-great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Myrtle (Trossen) Schwantes, Marshfield; and numerous relatives and friends also survive Frances.

Fran was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son James in 2002; sons-in-law, Joe Fleisner, Sr., David Huber and Jerry Heiting; and brothers, Lothar, Eldor and Fredrick Schwantes; as well as a sister, Edna Seehafer.
