CHARLES E. SMITH, filer and machinist, Marshfield, was born in Wrightstown, Brown Co., Wis., Feb. 9, 1858. His father. Barber Smith, came from Franklin Co., N. Y., about 1856. They moved to Kaukauna, Outagamie Co., in 1868, then to Milladore, Wood Co., where they own and operate, a stave, shingle and lath mill. Charles E. moved to Marshfield in September, 1880, is a filer and machinist by trade. He was married in 1879, to Miss Lottie Snider, of Granville, Milwaukee Co., Wis. They have one child, Elmer.
