Isabel R. Kohl, 87, Marshfield, died Fri., Nov. 21, 2008 at Saint Joseph's Palliative Care. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tues., Nov. 25, 2008 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Bakerville.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Mon. at Rembs' Funeral Home (300 S. Oak Ave. - Marshfield, WI) and from 9:30 a.m. until service time Tues. at the church.

Isabel R. Kohl, 87, Marshfield, died Fri., Nov. 21, 2008, at Saint Joseph's Hospital Palliative Care.

A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Tues., Nov. 25, at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Bakerville. The Rev. Peter Manickam will officiate, and Suzanne Golden will be the organist for John F. Binder as soloist. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery, and grandchildren and nephews will serve as pallbearers.

The visitations will be Mon. from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Rembs' Funeral Home (300 S. Oak Ave. - Marshfield, WI) and Tues. from 9:30 a.m. until service time at Corpus Christi Church. A Knights of Columbus rosary service will be at 6:30 p.m. Mon. at the funeral home. Mrs. Kohl was born Sept. 4, 1921, in Hewitt to John and Anna (Hable) Pankratz. She attended St. Michael's Parochial School in Hewitt. She and Howard Kohl were united in marriage April 18, 1942, at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Hewitt. He died March 9, 2001.

As a young lady, she had been employed in Milwaukee for five years, but returned to the Marshfield area after her husband's discharge from military service. The Kohls then purchased the home farm and farmed in the town of Rock for 35 years, until their retirement in Nov. 1979. Isabel enjoyed crafts, bowling, playing cards, fishing in Canada and was an avid Milwaukee Brewers fan. She also enjoyed working with the Golden Glow 4-H members while her children were members.

She is survived by a son, Steve (Debra) Kohl of Granton and a daughter, Linda Wunrow of Marshfield. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, Pam (Travis) Hardrath, Jeff (Jean) Wunrow, Lisa Loveland, Beth Wunrow, Arriel Kohl, Stephanie Kohl, Rodney (Tracey) Kohl, Anige (Rod) Edblom, Deanna Roberson and Josh Kohl, and 12 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by brothers Ray Pankratz and Gerald (Pat) Pankratz, and sisters Bernice (Carl) Speier, Rita Kusta, Tina (Willis) Leffel, Virginia (Donald) Williams, Jeanette (Robert) Williams and Donna (Myron) Zygarlicke.

She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, son-in-law DuWayne Wunrow, sisters Lorraine Fischer, Mathilda Frey and Dorothy Wiliams, sister-in-law Margaret Pankratz, and brother-in-law Donald Frey, Victor Fischer and James Kusta.
