Witkus, Leona D. (Marriage - 3 APR 1948)

Miss Leona Dorothy Witkus, 1218 Mackinac Ave., South Milwaukee, Wis., became the bride of Edward Peter Hazuga, 4200 Lake Park, Chicago, Ill., Saturday, April 3, 1948 in a ceremony performed by Rev. A. C. Ahler in St. Mary’s Catholic parsonage at 2 p.m. in South Milwaukee, Wis.

Parents of the pair are Mr. and Mrs. Peter Witkus and John Hazuga, all of Stanley, Wis.

A formal gown of white lace was the choice of the bride, who fingertip veil dropped from a beaded crown. Her flowers were pink roses.

The couple was attended by Mr. and Mrs. Joe McGahey of Chicago. Mrs. McGahey also carried pink flowers.

A wedding reception at six p.m. was held at the Robert Johnson home, 1218 Mackinac Av., South Milwaukee, Wis., sister of the bride. The evening was spent dancing at the White Manor in Milwaukee. After a three-day honeymoon at Stanley the couple is living in Chicago.
