Poppe, Evelyn J. (31 JUL 1932 – 19 MAY 1990)
ABBOTSFORD – Evelyn J. Poppe, 57, Abbotsford (Clark Co., Wis.), died at 5:45
p.m. Saturday (19 May 1990) at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at First Presbyterian Church, Abbotsford,
with the Rev. Robert Everhard officiating. Burial will be in Riverside
Cemetery, Withee.
Visitation will be at Maurina Funeral Home, Abbotsford, after 4 p.m. today,
and then at the church from noon until service time on Tuesday.
The former Evelyn Joyce Sugden was born July 31, 1932 in Owen (Clark Co.,
Wis.), the daughter of Louise (Timm) Sugden of Drummond, and the late Howard
Sugden. She attended Owen schools. She was married to Richard Poppe June 20,
1959, in Owen.
She was employed by Master Packaging Corporation, Owen, from 1952 – 1970.
She had resided in Abbotsford for the past 30 years. She was a member of
First Presbyterian Church and its Star Circle, and the Marathon-Clark
Homemakers Club.
Besides her mother, she is survived by her husband; one son, William of
Abbotsford; and one brother, Walter J. Sugden of Gilman.
She was predeceased by her father in 1979.
