Died January 2, 1984. Funeral services at 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 7th at United Church of Christ, Owen (Clark Co., Wis., with Rev. Ralph Claybaugh officiating.

Born June 22, 1889.

Survivors are two sons, Robert D. and Deale E.; three grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

Matthias, Carrie D. (22 June 1889-2 January 1984)

OWEN - Services for Mrs. Emil E. (Carrie D.) Matthias, 94, Curtiss, who died Monday in a Washington D.C. hospital, will be Saturday at the United Church of Christ in Owen.

The Rev. Ralph Claybaugh will officiate and burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Withee. Visitation will be at the Maurine Funeral Home in Owen.

The former Carrie D. Danielsen was born June 22, 1889 in Milan, Illinois. She was married to Emil E. Matthias April 12, 1911 in Owen and they farmed in the Town of Green Grove. Her husband died in 1960.

A member of United Church of Christ, she is survived by two sons, Robert D. of Norfork, Virginia, and Dale E. of Springfield, Virginia; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was also predeceased by a brother and a grandchild.
