Bizjak, John (15 JUN 1914 – 26 JUL 1981)

John Bizjak, 67, Route 3, Thorp, died Sunday morning at his home.

Mr. Bizjak was a town supervisor and served as treasurer for the Clark County town of Butler, where he farmed for the last 39 years.

He was born on June 15, 1914, in Willard, son of the late August and Anna Bizjak. On Aug. 28, 1939, in Thorp, he married Esther Mayenschein, who survives.

Other survivors include a son, Gerald, Wausau; a brother, Joseph, Greenwood; three sisters, Mrs. Rose Howard, Tacoma, Wash., Mrs. Albert (Agnes) Wehrmann, Loyal, and Mrs. Norman (Sophie) Reineking, Colby; and three grandchildren.

Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Immanuel United Church of Christ, Greenwood, with the Rev. Alwyn York officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery (Moved to Town of Butler Cemetery later).

Friends may call at the Thorp Funeral Home, Thorp, on Tuesday from 3 to 9 p.m., and on Wednesday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services.
