Spieles, Alice (20 May 1910 – 4 October 1993)

Alice Spieles, 83, Neillsville, died Monday at Neillsville Memorial Home Hospice Unit.

She was born May 20, 1910, in Neillsville, to the late Melcher and Josephine Hoesly Sr. She received her education in Neillsville and was a 1928 graduate of Neillsville High School. After her education, she was employed with her father a5t the Hoesly Ford Garage, Neillsville.

She was married to Franklin D. Grap June 24, 1931, and he predeceased her. She was married to Jesse J. Spieles May 20, 1972, and he also predeceased her.

She began her career at Schulz Brothers, Neillsville, in 1941 as a part-time sales-person. She became a full-time employee Nov. 11, 1944 and was the cashier for 27 1/2 years until retiring in 1972. She resided in Neillsville during her retirement years.

Survivors include seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, uncles, nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by one brother, one sister and one son.

Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at United Church of Christ, Neillsville, with the Rev. Gene Lackore officiating. Deon Spangler will be the organist.

Private burial will be in the Neillsville City Cemetery.

Gesche Funeral Home, Neillsville, is assisting the family with arrangements.
