Wittman, Anna M. (15 FEB 1908 – 19 APR 1999)

Anna M. Wittman, 91, of 201 W. 28th St, died at 7:05 pm April 19, 1999, at St Joseph's Hospital hospice home, House of the Dove, where she had resided since Feb. 3, 1999.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday t Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Mrs. Wittman's nephew, the Rev. James Wolf, OEM Cap. will officiate. Music will be provided by Helen Brinkmann, organist, and John E Binder, vocalist

Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Duane, Michael, Mark and Paul Wittman and Chuck Kolar and James Hall

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 pm Friday at Rembs/Kundinger Chapel and again on Saturday at the funeral home until service time. A Sacred Heart Parish Council of Catholic Women Rosary Service will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, followed by a combined Sacred Heart Parish and Knights of Columbus Rosary Service at 7:30 p.m., both at the funeral chapel.

Anna was born February 15, 1908 in Dorchester to Frank and Anna (nee Mete) Geiger. She was married to Anton A. Wittman on May 11, 1926, at St Louis Catholic Church in Dorchester. The couple celebrated their 60th wed-ding anniversary in 1986.

She attended St. Louis Parochial School in Dorchester. After their marriage the Wittmans fanned in Curtiss and then in Marshfield where Anna resided until the present time.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and its Parish Council of Catholic Women; the Homemakers Club; the Bible Study Club; Forum 55; the Marshfield Senior Citizens; and she was a member of the former Catholic Daughters of America Court of Notre Dame 926.

Anna is survived by her six sons and one daughter, Jerome (Betty) Wittman of Babson Park, Fla., Lawrence (Bonnie) Wittman of Marshfield, Gregory (Junita) Wittman of Fort Royal, Virginia, Flavia Wittman of Marshfield, Linus (Bonnie) Wittman of Marshfield, and Thomas (Cinda) Wittman of Appleton; 32 grandchildren and 51 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by four brothers and three sisters, Agnes Pupp of Marshfield, Henrietta Gundlach of Marshfield, Ethel (Edward) Pupp of Wausau, Frank (Stella) Geiger of Abbotsford, Henry (June) Geiger of Milwaukee, Anthony (Juanita) Geiger of Haines City, Fla., and Leo (Dorothy) Geiger of Loyal.

She was predeceased by her husband on Feb. 7, 1987; her parents, four brothers and five sisters.

Memorials may be designated in her name to St Joseph's Hospital hospice home, House of the Dove.
