Golomb, John R. (12 Dec. 1942 - 8 June 2008)

John R. Golomb age 65 of 86555 Fanner Lane (Town of Agenda) Butternut, WI died Sun. June 8th, 2008 at St. Joseph's Hospital. Marshfield.

Visitation: A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held at 10am on Sat. 6/21/08 at Peace Lutheran Church in Park Falls Reverend John Deitz with funeral services beginning at 11am Burial at Butternut Union Cemetery with military rites/honors under the auspices of the Park Falls American Legion and VFW Posts.

Parents Names: Joseph and Nora (Hamarm) Golomb Date of Birth: 12-12-1942 Place of Birth: Ashland, WI Education: Early life and schooling in Butternut, Graduating in 1960---moved to Cudahy, WI. Served in the US Marine Corps from July 1964 to July 1967. He broke the Marine Corps Record by scoring 100% on both the physical and written exams. He married Patsy Anderson on June 14th 1975 in Cudahy, WI. The family moved to Park Falls in 1980 and worked at Flambeau Metals in Park Falls. Later he worked at Weather Shield Inc. until retiring in 2004. He was a member of the Park Falls American Legion Post. He was a past president and current member of the Flambeau Area SportSmen's Club. He was an avid sponsman who loved hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his wife Patt of Buttemut:, (3) children---Scott (Debbie) Bartlett of Cudahy, WI---Tammy Scharlat of Atlantic, Iowa---Renee (Troy) Carlson of Milwaukee, WI (5) grandchildren---Josh (Marcie) Bartlett---Jeanme (Steve) Lezala--Jennifer Lilly-Anja Renee Grochowski---Logan John Carlson (1) great grandson, Spencer Lezala and baby boy Lezala due in August (1) brother-Jim Golomb of Butternut, WI (4) sisters Carol Myers of Jackson, WI---Josaphine (Irv) Henricksen of Oshkosh - Pat Anderson of Oshkosh and Margaret Golomb of Park Falls and numerous nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and (1) sister-in-law, Judy Golomb in 2007.
