Holman, Sally Ann (4 June 1945 – 9 May 2009)

Sally Ann Holman, 63, born June 4, 1945, born to Edwin and Evelyn (Dale) Roseland at Black River Falls died, Saturday, May 9, 2009, at Black River Memorial Hospital under the care of Hospice.

Sally graduated from Black River Falls High School and attended the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. She married John Holman May 31, 1968, in Joliet.

She volunteered at the Clothing Center and loved to go to the animal shelter, auctions and sales. Sally was very proud of her Norwegian heritage, and her trip to Norway to visit her ancestral home was a highlight of her life.

She is survived by her husband, John, and one son, Clay; a sister, Lois, as well as many relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Ellen, Alice and Janice, and a brother, Gordon.

Memorials may be given in her name to the Jackson County Animal Shelter, Black River Hospice or Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Per Sally’s request, there will be no services and a private committal will be at a later date.

The Cremation Society of Wisconsin in Eau Claire/Altoona is serving the family.
