Headley-Fleming

Five pastors, all relatives of the bride and groom, took part in the ceremony when Miss Deloris Lucille Fleming, daughter of the Rev. and Mrs. R. J. Fleming, 207 E. Third St. Marshfield and George Headley Jr., son of Rev. and Mrs. George Headley Lindewald, N. J., repeated their marriage vows at the First Methodist Church at Marshfield, Wednesday at 8 p. m.

The Rev. Mr. Fleming and the Rev. Mr. Headley, fathers of the bride and groom; The Rev. L. H. Holmes, Loyal, and the Rev. George A. Butters, Waltham, Mass., uncles of the bride; and the Rev. William Headley, Ceres, Calif, uncle of the groom, were the pastors.

The maid of honor, Miss Ruth Headley, sister of the groom, wore a yellow satin gown and a matching bonnet. She carried a colonial bouquet of mixed flowers. The bridesmaid, Miss Helen Hodgson, roommate of the bride while she was in nurses training, was dressed in blue. Darla Jean Capes, 1300 E. Doege street, in Marshfield, cousin of the bride, was flower girl, and Dennis Cook, Unity, cousin of the bride was ringbearer. The groom was attended by Myron R. Fleming, brother of the bride, who was best man; Virgil Homes, Loyal, cousin of the bride, groomsman, Robert Cook, Unity, and Glen Peters, Pepin, cousins of the bride, ushers.

The bride’s mother designed the bridal gown of mousseline de soie. The bride wore a fingertip viel [sic] of illusion which was caught to a tiara of seed pearls, and she carried a bouquet of red roses and smilax.

Among the guests at the reception held in the church dining room were friends and relatives from Loyal and Viroqua, where the Rev. Mr. Fleming had formerly been pastor and also from Pepin, Unity, Colby, Spencer, Arena and Madison.

The bride has complented [sic] two year of nurses training and the groom is enrolled in the Bible Training School, Philadelphia. After a wedding trip to Northern Wisconsin, the couple will make their home in Clementon, N. J.

The young couple were honor guests at showers given by the Marshfield Methodist congregation, the Marshfield Methodist Choir, the Spencer Methodist congregation and a Kitchen Shower given by relatives.
