------ Weiss, Linda (11 APR 1964)

Miss Linda Weiss, route 1, Abbotsford and Gary Pupp, route 1, Stratford, exchanged marriage promises Saturday morning, April 11, at St. Bernard’s Catholic church, Abbotsford.

Bouquets of pink and white gladioli adorned the altar for the 11 o’clock double ring ceremony which was read by the Rev. Raymond B. Schulz.

Parents of the bridal couple are Mr. and Mrs. Herman Weiss, route 1, Abbotsford, and Mr. and Mrs. George Pupp, route 1, Stratford.

The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, was attired in a floor length gown designed with a fitted bodice of chantilly lace with fingertip sleeves and a square scalloped neckline enhanced with sequins.  A lace skirt which topped one of net and one of taffeta was caught up in the front and the back with a rose.  A crown of pearls and crystals held her fingertip veil.  She carried a cascade bouquet of red roses, white mums and stephanotis with red roses tied to white streamers.

Attending her were two friends, Miss Sharon Schaefer of Abbotsford as maid of honor, and Miss Mary Ann Smereck of Marshfield as bridesmaid.  They wore identical floor length gowns of romance blue sheer over nylon taffeta.  A long free panel extended from the back of the neckline and pearls detailed the high front neckline of the long sleeved bodice.  They wore small hats with short bouffant veils and carried round bouquets of white carnations.

Lyle Pupp of Stratford attended his brother as best man.  Mike Huettl of Marshfield, a friend, was groomsman and David Rueden, a brother-in-law of the bride, and John Pupp, a cousin of the groom, both of Abbotsford, performed the ushering duties.

Mrs. Weiss chose a three piece lilac linen suit with matching accessories for her daughter’s wedding and Mrs. Pupp selected a beige linen dress with which she wore white accessories.  Both mothers had corsages of pink roses and white carnations.

After the ceremony dinner was served to over 100 guests at St. Bernard’s church hall.  Other festivities of the wedding day included a reception at the village hall, Abbotsford, and a dance at Riverview Ballroom, Stratford, in the evening.

The new Mr. and Mrs. Pupp are making their home in Marshfield where he is employed at the Weyerhaeuser plant.  He is a graduate of Stratford high school.

His bride is a graduate of the Abbotsford high school with the class of 1962 and was employed at Wausau at Employers’ Mutual Insurance.

Guests attending the wedding came from Wausau, Marshfield, Stratford, Owen, Unity, Colby, Stet-  (The rest of my copy was cut off)
