Mayme Konecny (29 May 1896 – 14 Sept 1971)

Mrs. Joseph (Mayme) Konecny, 75, died Tuesday in Memorial Hospital, Medford, at 2:03 PM. She had been in ill health for several years, and at the time of death had been in the hospital about six weeks.

Funeral services will be held on Friday (Sept. 17) at 1:30 PM from Salem United Methodist church here, Rev. Henry Bahrenburg, Jr. will officiate, and burial will be in Dorchester Memorial Cemetery.

She lies in state in Maurina funeral Home here after 3:00 PM today (Thursday). An Eastern Star memorial service will be held there at 8:00 tonight.

Mayme Erickson was born May 29, 1896, in the town of Little Black. She and Joseph C. Konecny were married June 28, 1927, and they made their home on the Konecny farm in the town of Holton. She was a member of the Abbotsford Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star.
Surviving are her widower; two sons: George and Joseph, both of the town of Holton; four grandchildren; a brother, Joseph Erickson, and a sister, Mrs. Nellie Stoughton, both of Montana, Calif.

Three brothers and three sisters preceded her in death.

2nd Obituary

Funeral services for Mrs. Jospeh C. (Mayme) Konecny, 75, were held Friday from Salem United Methodist church here. Rev Henry Bahrenburg, Jr., pastor, officiated at the 1:30 PM rites. Mrs. Jerome Rankl was organist, and Mrs. Donald Albrecht sang “The Beautiful Garden of Prayer” and “Abide With Me.”

Burial was in Dorchester Memorial Cemetery under direction of Maurina Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Vaughn Waldhart, Herbert Waldhart, Herald Oehler, Richard Schmidt, Jr., Vane Gokey, George Tischendorf.

Mrs. Konecny died Sept. 14 in Memorial Hospital, Medford. She had been in ill health for several years.
