Henke, Henry Herman (20 APR 1878 – 18 JAN 1961)


Henry Herman Driessen, 82, passed away at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Henry Gygi at Rural Route 2, Holcombe, Wednesday afternoon.

He was born at Hollandtown, Wisconsin, April 20th, 1878 and was united in marriage with Anna Henke at St. Bernard's Catholic Church at Thorp, October of 1904. He farmed in the town of Worden, Clark County, until 1949 when his wife passed away and then made his home with his daughter at Holcombe.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Victor Gordeau and Mrs. Henry Gygi of Holcombe and Mrs. Milton Stair of Pilot Falls, Oregon; also one brother Ed Driessen of Kaukauna, Wisconsin and six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death was his wife in 1949 and seven sisters and two brothers.

Friends may call at the Cornell Funeral Home Sunday afternoon and evening until the time of the services which will be held Monday morning at 10:00 o'clock at Holy Cross Catholic Church at Cornell with Reverend Carl Meyer officiating. Interment will be in the St. Mary's Cemetery at Stanley. The Rosary will be recited at the Funeral Home Sunday evening at 8:00 o'clock.
