Wynimko, Diane V. (29 MAY 1965)

White lilacs and red tulips were on the altar of St. Hedwig's Chapel when Miss Diane Virginia Wynimko became the bride of Frank Brodbeck on Saturday, May 29th, 1965. Rev. Father Masalewicz performed the ten a.m. double ring ceremony and Nuptial Mass.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Ed Wynimko, Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Brodbeck, Owen.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, chose a floor length bridal gown of peau de soie, styled with long traditional tapered sleeves and a scalloped portrait neckline, with an overlay of re-embroidered Alencon lace.

The simplicity of the front of the skirt was highlighted by a bouffant back and fashioned with a removable chapel train. The bride's head piece, a white rose with embroidered Alencon lace and the side in shape of a leaf held her fingertip veil.

She carried a cascade bouquet on a prayer book, which was centered with a white orchid surrounded by feathered carnations and white butterfly roses.

Miss Nancy Wynimko was her sister's maid of honor, and bridesmaids were Mrs. Margrete Strohkirch and Barb Brodbeck, sister of the groom, and Miss Betty Budzinski, friends of the bride. They wore street length dresses with removable floor length overskirts of peau de soie in blue. Scoop necklines and short sleeves accented the bodice of the slim sheaths. The removable overksirts were fashioned with side pleats and a simulated Watteau.

The headpieces were a bow of the same material. Each carried round bouquets of pink and white carnations.

Bill Strohkirch, brother-in-law of the groom, was best man, and the groom's other attendants were Ronald Janicki, Frank Kowalski, Ronald Brych, Kenneth Klak and Jim Janicki.

Miss Karen Janicki was her cousin's flower girl, wearing a gown of peau de soie, with short sleeves. The neckline was in scallops with embroidered lace around and her floor length skirt was highlighted by bouffant back with a removable train. Her flowers were also of pink and white carnations.

Ring bearer was Mike Kowalski, nephew of the groom.

A dinner and reception were held at St. Hedwig's Hall.

The mother of the bride wore a blue dress with white accessories and the groom's mother wore a pink eyelit dress with matching jacket, and each wore a cymbidium orchid corsage. The godmothers wore pink and white and blue and white carnations. The two hostesses, Mrs. Frank Kowalski, sister of the groom, and Mrs. Edward Janicki, aunt of the bride, had blue and white carnations.

The bride attended Thorp High School and was a beautician in Eau Claire. The groom attended Owen-Withee High School and is with the USAF.

After a wedding trip to the northwest states, they will make their home at Minot, N.D.

Out of town guests were from Chicago, Milwaukee, Medford, Stanley, Eau Claire, Franklin Park, Hoffman Estate, Gilman, Columbus, Minneapolis, Minn., Osage, Iowa, Withee and Owen.
