Konsella, Frank August (25 July 1906 - 9 October 1968)

Frank August Konsella, 62, of Greenwood, died October 9, in Neillsville, where he had been a hospital patient since September 30. Death was attributed to bronchial pneumonia.

Mr. Konsella was born July 25, 1906, in Stanley, the son of John and Florence (Sokup) Konsella. He lived in Stanley until 1943, when he moved to Harvard, Ill. In 1960, he returned to the Greenwood area.

Survivors are two sons, Harvey and Robert Konsella; a daughter, Mrs. Allen (Marion) Bernke; three grandchildren; a brother, Theodore Konsella of Stanley; and a sister, Mrs. Rose Deman of Chicago, Ill.

Funeral services were held Saturday from St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greenwood. The Rev. Leander Koopman officiated. Burial was made in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Pallbearers were: Arthur Knoff, Jake Barr, Charles Northrup, Willard Scheuring and Andrew Djubenski.

Relatives attending from away were Mr. and Mrs. Willard Fitzsimmons of Minneapolis; John Evenson, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Hendricks and Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Madison of Gilman; Wayne Madison of Bartlett, Ill.; Theodore Konsella and Mrs. Katherene Swatzina of Stanley; Mr. and Mrs. Leonard La Roche of Wausau and Oliver La Roche of Woodruff.
