Clara Hiebsch (28 Mar 1887 – Oct 1969)

Funeral services were held Saturday morning at St. Louis Catholic church, Dorchester, for Mrs. Frank Hiebsch, 82, a former Dorchester resident who died Thursday at St. Joseph’s hospital, Hartford. She was a resident of the Gate Way nursing home at Hartford. Rev. Gerald Schuh officiated and burial took place in Dorchester Memorial cemetery.

The body lay in state at Maurina funeral home, Dorchester, where rosary devotions were held Friday night.

The former Clara Schmitt was born March 28, 1887, at Marshfield. Her marriage to Frank Hiebsch took place January 19, 1919, at Dorchester. The couple resided at Dorchester until 1966, when they went to the Marshfield Convalescent Center. In September, 1969, they moved to the Hartford nursing home.

She was a member of St. Louis’ Catholic Church, the Rosary Altar society and the Catholic Order of Foresters.

Surviving are her husband; two daughters, Ruth, Mrs. Marlin Miller, Milwaukee, and Bert, Mrs. Lawrence Hansen, Hales Corners; a sister, Mrs. Elsie Koppa, Flint, Mich., three grandchildren and sis great grandchildren.

Two sisters preceded her in death.
