WILLIAM YOUNG, farmer and physician, came to Wisconsin in 1839. Located in Waukesha County, farming, some two years; then in Jefferson County for fifteen years, farming and practicing medicine some. Came to Eau Claire County in 1856, and has been there twenty-five years, farming and practicing, Was supervisor of Otter Creek Township for several years. Born in Scotland, 1816; came to America in 1828, and resided in St. Lawrence Co., N.Y. Married there, Dec. 1, 1838, to Philoena Baas, born in the State of New York. They have nine children - Jane D. (now Mrs. Brown), Isabella A., Lucinda M., James, William, Ellen P., Harvey E., Mary H. and Sherman G.
