Diane G. Tresemer and Thomas Firnstahl are making their new home on Rt. 1 Neillsville, after sharing wedding vows on the afternoon of Saturday, August 23, at the Neillsville United Church of Christ. The Rev. Gary Clark officiated at the wedding with the bride’s father presenting her to the altar. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Tresemer, Neillsville, and Mr. and Mrs. Emanuel Firnstahl, Colby.

Marcia Lewis, the bride’s sister from Neillsville, was matron of honor. Joining her were Connie Schoeneck, the groom’s sister from Pelican Lake. Chris Mikula, another sister of the groom from Wausau, Joann Firnstahl, the groom’s sister-in-law from Stetsonville, and Judi Zager, the bride’s cousin from Sauk Rapids, Minn. Mary Fischer was the honored attendant.

Butch Firnstahl, the groom’s brother from Stetsonville, was bestman. Joining him were Randy Schoeneck, the groom’s brother-in-law from Pelican Lake; Mike Mikula, the groom’s brother-in-law from Wausau; David Lewis, the bride’s brother-in-law from Neillsville; and Tim Tresemer, the bride’s brother from Neillsville. Ushering were Steve Johnson, the bride’s cousin from Neillsville, and John Andrew, a friend of the couple from Colby.

Lori Anding sang “If” and “Love Grown Deep,” with Deon Spangler, accompanist.

Concerning attire, the bride chose a Chiffenete trimmed gown with Venician lace, sweetheart neckline, bishop sleeves and a sunburst pleated skirt that swept into a chapel length train. She carried a bouquet of carnations, daisies and baby’s breath. Her attendants wore apricot-colored gowns of (blur), featuring spaghetti straps, sunburst pleated skirts and sheer capes. They carried bouquets similar to the bride’s. The groom wore a beige tuxedo, and his attendants wore spice –colored tuxedos.

Following the wedding, a reception was held at the Wildcat Inn and a dance at American Legion Hall in Neillsville, followed.

The bride is a 1978 graduate of Neillsville High School and is presently employed at the Olde Cedar House in Abbotsford. The groom is a 1978 graduate of Colby High School and is employed by Kramer’s IGA.
