Halle, Clarence E. (26 April 1906 – 20 August 1980)

An area milk-hauler for 50 years, Clarence E. Halle, 74, passed away in Neillsville Memorial Hospital on August 20. Halle was a Rt. 3 Neillsville resident. Funeral services were held Saturday, August 23, at 3:00 p.m. from the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville. The Rev. Larry Grahn officiated with burial made in the Neillsville City Cemetery.

The deceased was born on April 20, 1906, in Kiel to Hugo and Emelia (Ehlenbeck) Halle. He received his education in Kiel and Clark County. After that, he worked as a milk-hauler in the Greenwood, Loyal, Christie and Neillsville areas for 50 years. During this time, he married Mildred Drew in November 16, 1932, Gleason ceremonies.

Halle also farmed in the Town of York for (blur) years, retiring two years ago due to failing health.

Surviving him, besides his wife, are five sisters, Mrs. Ray (Anita) Shaw of Marshfield, Mrs. Mary Jones and Mrs. Jack (Martha) Ebbe, both of Santa Monica, Calif.; Mrs. Bob (Adella) Allen, La Canada, Calif.; and Mrs. Bob (Millie) Galbreath of Sharron. He is also survived by three brothers, Oscar of Noblesville, Ind., Arnold of Neillsville and Roman of Long Beach, Calif. Preceding him in death was one brother and one sister.

Dinna Halle and Wava Anderson offered special music at the service. Serving as pallbearers were Glenn Halle, Lee Kurasz, Lowell Gesche, Oscar Halle, Jr., Elton Shaw, and John Kurasz.
