Hibbard, Harlow & Anita (50th anniversary, 7 Jun 1933)

Mr. and Mrs. Harlowe Hibbard of Colby will celebrate their golden wedding Saturday afternoon at the VFW Clubhouse in Colby. They married June, 7, 1933 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Unity.

The Hibbards lived on a farm west of Unity for 11 years and then moved to Colby, where they still reside. after Farming, Hibbard worked for a short time for Northwest Milling, then for Soo Line Railroad. Mrs. Hibbard, the former Anita Meyer, taught school in the Colby area for 40 years.

The Hibbard have two children, Mrs. Kenneth (Marlene) Schulz, Waunakee, and Wayne Hibbard, Schaumburg, Illinois. There are seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Attendants at their wedding were Mr. and Mrs. Art Sorenson of Marion, Indiana, Carl Domer of Colby and the late Albertine Syth.
