Prock, Mary T. (20 August - 1980)

The Rev. Joseph Henseler officiated at the Saturday afternoon, August 20, marriage rites for Mary T. Prock and Charles W. Diedrich, both of Neillsville. Ceremonies were held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Neillsville with a reception following at the bride’s mother’s home and a later dance at the Silver Dome Ballroom. The couple then left on a short Wisconsin wedding trip.

Parents of the couple are Mrs. Pearl Prock and the late Harold Prock, Neillsville; and Joyce Williams of Ft. Worth, Tex., and Harold Diedrich of Rhinelander.

Maynard Prock, the bride’s brother, and Mrs. Pearl Prock, presented their sister-daughter to the altar.

Caroline O’Brien, a sister of the bride from New Berlin, was matron of honor. Joining her were Jeanne Prock, a niece of the bride from McKinney, Tex.; and Doris Dux, a friend of the bride from Neillsville.

Bill Bogdonovich, a friend of the groom from Greenwood, was bestman. He was joined by Jamie Jolivette, a brother of the groom from Greenwood; and Bob Evans, another friend of the groom from Wausau. Ushering were Mike Prock, the bride’s nephew from McKinney; and Eugene O’Brien, the bride’s brother-in-law from New Berlin.

Bradley Mazola, a second cousin of the bride from Milwaukee, was ringbearer, Jenny Bogdonovich, a niece of the groom from Greenwood, was flower girl.

“The Wedding Song,” “We’ve Only Just Begun” and “On This Day” were the special music selections offered at the service by Winnie Preston and Ronald Resong.

The bride chose a sheer organza gown which featured a Queen Anne’s neckline, Chantilly lace, bishop sleeves and a ruffled-flounced hemline that swept to a brush train. Her hat was of matching Chantilly lace with a long veil. She carried a colonial style bouquet of white roses, light blue forget-me-nots, baby’s breath, other greenery and ribbons. Her attendants wore light blue dresses with attached shawls trimmed with white lace; they also wore light blue hats. The bridesmaids carried single, long-stemmed white roses, adorned with baby’s breath, blue forget-me-nots, greenery and blue ribbons. The groom was attired in a tuxedo of a light blue jacket and dark blue trousers and vest. His attendants chose light blue formal wear.

Serving as gift bearers at the wedding mass were Greg and Gary O’Brien and Susan Prock. Mrs. Sharron Prock was a bridal party assistant and was in charge of the guest book at the reception.

Prenuptial events included a shower hosted by the bridesmaids at the bride’s brother’s Lake Arbutus cottage and a rehearsal luncheon at the bride’s mother’s home.

The bride is a graduate of Neillsville High School and is employed in the medical records department of Neillsville Memorial Hospital. The groom is a graduate of Rheinlander Union High School and is employed by Paul Bugar Trucking of Loyal, They will make their home on East Twelfth St., Neillsville.
