Kosik, Veronica (12 January 1903-15 January 1983)

THORP-- Mrs. Stanley (Veronica) Kosik, 80, of Thorp died Wednesday at St. Joseph's Hospital, Chippewa Falls.

Services will be Friday in St. Hedwig's Chapel, Thorp. The Rev. John Puerner will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Grandsons will be pallbearers. Visitation will be at the Thorp Funeral Home with a Knights of Columbus rosary service.

The former Veronica Lato was born January 12, 1903 in Poland to the late Mr. and Mrs. Vincent (Bridget) Lato. She was married to Stanley Kosik February 7, 1927 in Poland. He died February 8. They came to the United States in 1930 and farmed the Thorp area until 1966. They then moved to the city of Thorp.

Survivors include three sons, Chester of Milwaukee, Edward and Joseph, both of Thorp; two daughters, Arlene Kosik of Alexandria, Virginia and Sophie Joworek of Eau Claire; one brother, Bruno of Poland; two sisters, Stella Grabowski of Stanley, and Maggie Lasiuk of Thorp; 16 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
