Stevens, Daisy G. (9 October 1904 – 9 February 1988)

Eighty-three-year-old former Humbird resident Daisy G. Stevens passed away Tuesday morning, February 9, at Pine View Nursing Home, Black River Falls. Due to failing health, she had been a resident of the nursing home since May 1987.

Services were conducted Saturday, February 13, at Gesche Funeral Home with Rev. Loren Hickerson officiating. Corine Armitage and Iris Musil provided music. Relatives served as pallbearers. Burial was in the Town of Mentor Cemetery.

Born October 9, 1904, in the Town of Mentor, she was a daughter of Louis and Rose (Young) Stevens. After graduating from Humbird High School, she lived and worked with her parents on the home farm. She remained there after the death of her parents.

Surviving are three sisters and a brother, Emma Mitchell of Wheeler, Dot Kaneff and Rosie Horton, both of Great Falls, MT, and Ernest Stevens, Humbird. She was predeceased by her parents, four brothers and three sisters.
