York, Anna (12 June 1916 – 11 June 1988)

Anna York, 71, Willard, died Saturday, June 11, at her home on Mead Lake. Anna Cesarec was born June 12, 1916, in Chicago, a daughter of Marcus and Justina (Holly) Cesarec. She received her education in schools in Illinois and Milwaukee.

On April 4, 1953, she and Clayton York were married in Crown Point, Indiana. They lived in Milwaukee for a year, where he worked for the Air Force, and later moved to California. They returned to Milwaukee, and she worked for Amron Corp. for 15 years. She and her husband moved to the Mead Lake area in 1983. She was a member of the National association of Retired Federal Employees, the American Legion Post 238 Auxiliary and the Slovenska Druzba.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Douglas (Robyn) Dieter of New Berlin; one son, Steven of Waterford; three brothers, Frank of Willard and John and Michel of Milwaukee; two sisters, Miss Justina Cesarec of Milwaukee, Mrs. Arthur (Diane) Giles of Wind Lake, and one grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 14, at Rinka Funeral Home in Greenwood. The Rev. Robert Streveler of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greenwood officiated. Pallbearers were Frank Cesarec, Michael Cesarec, Doug Dieter, John Laivell Jr., John Laivell Se. and Art Giles. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery.
