ABBOTSFORD - Chuck Gering, Manager of First Financial Savings and Loan Association, has been elected treasurer for Chapter 288 of the Institute of Financial Education,

Gering also was elected to serve a three-year term on the Board of Directors. A resident of Colby, he manages First Financial institutions in Abbotsford and Thorp.

The Institute is the educational unit of savings and loans, providing instruction for Association members. Chapter 288 is one of four in Wisconsin and serves the central and northern areas of the state.
