Severson, Mr. and Mrs. Hugh (40th - 1980)
The 40th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Severson of Greenwood was
celebrated Wednesday evening, Oct. 1, at the Asian Chinese American Restaurant
in Waukesha. The event was hosted by their daughter and son-in-law, Roy and
Carol Kaisler, Waukesha. Following the meal, a social hour was held.
Hugh Severson and Frieda Keiner were married in the Zion United Church of Christ
in Greenwood. The Rev. E. G. Pfeifer officiated.
Hugh was born in Greenwood to Mr. and Mrs. Sam Severson. She was born in Athens
to Mr. and Mrs. Christ Keiner. After their marriage, they lived in Wisconsin,
Minnesota and Oregon, where he was employed as an electrician and lineman. In
1945, they returned to Greenwood, where he was employed by Clark Electric. They
have resided here ever since. A daughter, Karen, is deceased.
