Erickson, Anton "Tony" (20 October 1889-27 June 1983)

SPENCER-- Anton "Tony" Erickson, 93, formerly of Spencer, died Monday at the Continental Nursing Home, Abbotsford. He was a resident of the nursing home since 1976.

Services will be Thursday at the Rux Funeral Home, Spencer. The Rev. Andrew Bofenkamp, will officiate, with burial in the West Spencer Cemetery.

He was born October 20, 1989 in Sweden to Mr. and Mrs. Swen Erickson. He came to the United States as an infant with his parents. He was self-educated and helped his father farm, after which he followed with a farming career for 14 years. He was later employed by Land O'Lakes milk plant in Winthrop, Minnesota for 20 years. He retired at the age of 76, at which time he lived with his daughter in Spencer.

A member of the First Angelical Lutheran Church in Winthrop, Minnesota. Mr. Erickson is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Rosella Schweiss of Spencer; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Elmer Franzen of Minneapolis; and one sister, Mrs. Amy Hotzedt of Minneapolis.

He was predeceased by his parents, seven brothers and two sisters.
