Resudek, Rosamond Joan (10 Jan. 1930 - 1 Apr. 2001)

PHILLIPS - Rosamond Joan Koch Resudek, 71, Phillips, died in the Flambeau Medical Center in Park Falls on Sunday, April 1, 2001.

She was born in Chippewa Falls on Jan. 10, 1930, the daughter of Joseph and Ann Burger. She was married to Dewey Koch in Chippewa Falls on Nov. 27, 1947. They operated the Elk River Cheese Factory in the Town of Worcester for many years. She then worked in the laundry department at the Pleasant View Nursing Home in Phillips until the time of her retirement. Dewey died on Dec. 15, 1992. She was married to Walter Resudek in Phillips on July 29, 1995. She was a member of Our Lady of the North Catholic Church. In her free time she enjoyed gardening, especially flower gardening, and bird feeding.

She is survived by her husband, Walter; by four sons, Bruce, Arbor Vitae, Douglas (Donna), Prentice, Byron (Karen), Phillips, and Jeffrey (Deb), Phillips; by one stepson, John; by one stepdaughter, Eileen (Mike) Retzlaff, Amelia, Ohio; by nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren; and by one sister, Margaret (Carl) Krueger, Chippewa Falls. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Dewey; by three sisters, Laverne, Cecelia, and Patricia; and by one brother, Donald.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 4, in Our Lady of the North-South, with Fr. Gerald Hagen celebrating the Funeral Mass. Interment will be in the Lakeside Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Heindl Funeral Home in Phillips after 5:30 p.m. today. The Parish Wake Service will be held at the funeral home at 7:30 p.m. today.
