Foth, Martha Marie (24 Jan. 1897 - 29 Nov. 1975)

SPENCER - Services for Mrs. Martha Foth, 78, Wausau, formerly of Spencer, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Spencer. Mrs. Foth died at 8:45 a.m. Saturday at Wausau Hospital North.

The Rev. William H. Ruhbusch, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in the West Spencer Cemetery.

Visitations may be made at the Rux Funeral Home, Spencer, after 2 p.m. today.

The former Martha Marie Below was born Jan. 24, 1897, in Spencer and was married to Fred Foth. She farmed in the Spencer area until 1946 and then lived in Mosinee and later at Wausau. The past 15 years she resided at the Sunny Vale Infirmary in Wausau.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Spencer.

Survivors include three sons, Orville, Spring Hill, Fla., Alfred, Marshfield, and Norman, Wausau; three brothers, Herman Below, Park Falls, Carl Below, Milwaukee, and Martin Below, Spencer; five sisters, Mrs. Harry (Frieda) Doering, Marshfield, Mrs. Henry (Ella) Kalkoff and Mrs. Ernest (Minnie) Karau, both of Milwaukee, Mrs. Clarence (Laura) Schallock, Fenwood, and Mrs. Ruth Ball, address unknown; seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

Two brothers and a sister preceded her in death.

*** Note: The surname Doering is misspelled and should be Deering, and the surname Kalkoff should be spelled as Kalkopf.
